Aiming to remove freight and through traffic from the Shepparton CBD, the Shepparton Bypass Stage 1 in Victoria’s Goulburn Valley receives $208 million investment from the Australian Government.
The project will feature the construction of a 10-kilometre single lane road from the Midland Highway in Mooroopna then extending north to Excelsior Avenue and Cornish Road to Echuca Road. In addition, the bypass will go east to Wanganui Road where it will reconnect to the Goulburn Valley Highway in Shepparton North.
Expected to create hundreds of jobs during construction, the State Government is currently finalising the business case for the project.
