$897 million budget set for M1

Queensland State Budget will deliver $897 million for M1 upgrades between Varsity Lakes and Tugun between Eight Mile Plains and Daisy Hill next month.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk made the announcement over the weekend and accordingly, the Government would invest $487.5 million – half the total cost – between 2018 and 2022 to ensure that work could start as soon as possible.

The Government was on the planning process to ensure the timely delivery of the next stages of the upgrade between Eight Mile Plains and Daisy Hill and between Varsity Lakes and Tugun.

With the Government promising a $45 billion infrastructure spend over the coming four years, the Queensland Budget will be delivered on 12 June.
