The Liberal National Government has approved the commissioning of a $400 million lithium processing plant in Kwinana.
Construction is expected to commence in the coming months and will be managed by MSP Engineering who were appointed as the head contractor for the construction of the project after leading the feasibility study.
The two-year development phase of the project will see up to 500 jobs created as well as a further 115 jobs created once the processing plant is fully operational.
The lithium processing plant is scheduled for completion in late-2018.
