Construction of wind farm and battery storage planned in VIC
By Scott Dywer on 15 April 2019
To be built mainly on a pine plantation near Portland in Victoria, Neoen Australia has proposed a $1 billion renewable energy project which is set to become the first and the largest of its kind in Australia.
Kentbruck Green Power Hub will be developed on Green Triangle Forest Products’ (GTFP) pine forest, with approximately 30 kilometres span of location between Portland and Nelson.
Neoen will continue engaging with the community to get feedback on the development and address any concerns early on, as the 900mW wind farm and battery storage project is still in its early planning phase. Once the plans have been finalised, more details on the project will be released.
Subject to necessary approvals, construction on the Kentbruck Green Power Hub is set to start in 2021.
