With a $206 million design and construct contract, Watpac Limited is set to build the Australian Catholic University (ACU) Saint Teresa of Kolkata Building in Melbourne.
To be located at ACU’s Fitzroy campus, the Saint Teresa of Kolkata Building is going to be comprised of a 13-storey tower with a rooftop sports facility as well as a seven-level basement on Victoria Parade. It will also include three additional storeys to the existing Mary Glowrey Building, a heritage-listed building. The new building will also feature centralised teaching facilities as well as informal learning venues, a library, congregational hub and facilities to be shared by students and staff, as designed by Lyon Architects.
Construction on the project is expected to commence next month and set to be completed by mid-2022.
