Georgiou Group set to deliver Perth Airport’s new pedestrian bridge

Perth Airport’s International Terminal will soon be linked with a pedestrian bridge called Skybridge to the new METRONET Airport Central Station.
Built alongside the Forrestfield-Airport Link project, the new elevated pedestrian connection aims to provide a seamless connection to passengers leaving or arriving between the airport terminal and train station and make public transport as easy and user-friendly as possible. Besides providing a direct link, Skybridge is also expected to feature travelators as well as lifts.
With direct access to Terminal 1 forecourt as well as access to Terminal 2, the 280-metre Skybridge is an enclosed elevated walkway that will go over and across the main terminal car park. The scope of works will include the design and construction of the new elevated pedestrian bridge, with the contract awarded to Georgiou Group to deliver the project.
Works on the elevator pit as well as the elevated walkway, as part of the main entrance to the station, have commenced.
