Good news coming from Melbourne’s $11 billion Metro Tunnel rail project, with recent news that the project will generate approximately 7000 new jobs in Melbourne.
The project comprises of
- Five new underground stations
- Two new city stations, directly connected to Flinders Street and Melbourne Central, which will in turn ease the City Loop bottleneck.
This is a large project with a long timeline of work, which is scheduled to be completed by 2026.
Along with this positive news of more jobs, the government has vowed to have approximate 85% of resources for the project sourced from within Australia.
