With the release of an Environment Effects Statement for public consultation, Victoria’s $345 million Mordialloc Freeway project progresses towards construction and locals are invited to share their feedback regarding the project.
Scope of works for the project includes construction of noise walls along Mordialloc Freeway to help reduce vehicle noise near residential areas such as in Dingley Village, Aspendale Garden and Waterways, removal of up to 13,000 trucks from the nearby local and arterial roads, construction of bridges over Springdale Road, Governor Road, Lower Dandenong Road and Centre Dandenong Road and four new freeway interchanges with entry and exit ramps, a new separate shared walking and cycling path along the entire length of the freeway, among others.
Construction is set to begin in 2019 and is due by the end of 2021.
