Construction will soon begin on three new primary schools in Perth, to cope with a hike in population growth, in the outer suburbs of Perth.
Premier Mark McGowan and Education Minister Sue Ellery announced the $55 million school construction program in Baldivis, where a new primary school will be opened by 2020. Caversham and Banksia Grove will also receive new primary schools in 2020.
“There are a range of schools across WA that are bursting at the seams and so we have a program to build new schools and upgrade existing schools,” the Premier said.
The development is part of an election promise, to build 10 new primary schools.
