Project job demand has softened as news that the requirement for project management specialists has declined by 0.8%; led by a drop within the permanent market of 1.7%, with temporary/contract roles rising by 0.1%.
Job openings are still 12.5% higher than six months ago, but general growth is sluggish, with an increase of just 1.1% over the past 3 months. In good news for the sunshine state, QLD was the only area to see development, rising 2.9%. The highest requirement for project management professionals was in the mining, utilities and manufacturing sectors, where this went up by 4.2%.
