The Regency Road to Pym Street project has recently marked a new milestone after two consortia have been shortlisted to deliver major construction works on South Australia’s $354 million development project.
The two shortlisted tenderers include McConnell Dowell Constructors Pty Ltd, Mott MacDonald Australia Pty Ltd and Arup Group Contractors and GHD Pty Ltd joint venture. Both will undertake competitive design and pricing as part of the Request for Proposal (RFP) phase over the next 13 weeks.
As part of the North-South Corridor, the Regency Road to Pym Street project will deliver a 1.8-kilometre section that will connect the Torrens project (T2T) to the South Road Superway. It will also create a 47-kilometre non-stop North-South Corridor from Gawler to River Torrens.
Major construction works are set to commence by late 2019, and the winning builder will be announced early in the third quarter of this year.
