Sydney’s tallest residential tower under construction

Posted on 26 June 2019

How tall would a residential building need to be in Sydney to win top spot? 67 storeys, or 235 metres tall, to be exact.

High-rise developer Greenland Group have been approved to build the $700 million tower. It will be located at 115 Bathurst Street and will contain over 481 new residences. The designers on the project are BVN and Woods Bagot.

A prominent feature of the tower is what they are calling the “Sydney Balcony”. The balcony system will be glass-enclosed and serve to protect from wind and noise while providing natural ventilation and views of the surrounding parklands.

Sales within the complex have been successful, with the first stage of 300 sold out soon after they were released and most of the stage two apartments selling out in one day.

Construction on 27 of the towers 67 floors have been completed, with façade panels and services being installed as the floor slabs and lift core rise.
