WA wind farm contract awarded to Decmil

Decmil Group is set to deliver the balance of plant works at 180-megawatt Warradarge Wind Farm in Western Australia after it has been awarded a $72 million contract.
Vestas, a global wind energy company, was also awarded the engineering, procurement and construction and operations and maintenance contract.
Decmil’s scope of works include design and construction of the civil and electrical balance of plant for the 51 turbine wind farm including turbine bases, 55 kilometres of access tracks, site cabling, switch room and substation. Western Power will also construct the transmission line from the wind farm sub-station to the network connection point near Eneabba.
Works are expected to be completed by September 2020.
