Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE)
The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers received its Royal Charter in 1976. It is the professional body that exists to ‘support the Science, Art and Practice of building services engineering, by providing our members and the public with first class information and education services and promoting the spirit of fellowship which guides our work.’
With over 20,000 members in 98 countries around the world, CIBSE provides a global network of professional support and expertise, working in partnership with other professional bodies, construction and engineering firms worldwide.
CIBSE Australia and New Zealand is one of twenty-five regions around the world. It is unique, in that it is the only CIBSE region divided into nine geographical chapters to provide a more responsive programme of training and technical seminars for our members.
NSW, VIC and WA chapters run up to 10 technical seminars every year. With a varying topic range encasing some of the most relevant industry trends and changes.
YEN (Young Engineers Network)
The CIBSE Young Engineers Network (YEN) is a network of regional centres around the world that aim to provide a forum & support network for young engineers. YEN committees around Australia and New Zealand organise a calendar of site tours, soft-skills workshops and social events to support and inspire Young Professionals working within, and those with an interest in, building services engineering.
